Scrabble game

The game of Scrabble.

Scrabble is a board game which comes in many forms. Using tiles to create words, a grid is formed between players with each adding their own word, and scoring points from the scores allocated both to tiles and to placement upon the board. Scrabble is available in travel form, magnetic form, and traditional format with a large board. It is a very popular game and Scrabble tournaments worldwide keep interest in the game alive.

Scrabble availability.

Scrabble is available as a board game from most toy stores and from websites like Amazon.com. It is also available as an online game, although similar games have equal popularity, such as Literati, a Scrabble styled game created by Yahoo Games and using a different dictionary of words. In this system, the program itself checks the authenticity of the words put into play, and tells the player if they are incorrect. In challenge mode, Literati takes on more of a Scrabble concept in that challenges to words are left to players to decide.
